Instead of paying a company to hold your files in a distant data centre, dXCloud spreads encrypted pieces of them across a network of ordinary phones — yours and everyone else's. You lend a little of the space you weren't using, and get back more than you gave. It works because nobody uses their full share at once.

Every file is encrypted on your device, then broken into pieces and spread across many independent phones at once. No single device ever holds a complete, readable copy — and because the pieces live in many places, losing some changes nothing. A piece alone is cryptographic noise.

Keys are generated on your phone and never leave it. Everything is locked before it goes anywhere.

Each file becomes many locked pieces, spread widely so no one place ever holds the whole thing.

Pieces are distributed peer-to-peer over encrypted channels. No server holds anything whole.

Heal automatically

As devices come and go, the network re-replicates and reroutes on its own. You never notice.

Phones drop offline constantly — batteries die, signals fade, apps close. dXCloud challenges devices at random to prove they still hold their pieces; any failure triggers automatic re-replication and rerouting. No operator, no downtime, and nobody is ever notified.

  • Supply scales itself. Each user brings their own storage. Capacity grows with adoption, not capital expenditure.
